Installing, and running Piktures Media Server on your Mac
Last updated
The Mac version of the Piktures Media Server exists in two versions:
The M1 version that you can download at https://download.piktures.app/1/macos/m1/Piktures.pkg
The Intel version that you can download at https://download.piktures.app/1/macos/intel/Piktures.pkg
The Installation is fairly straightforward. You need to double-click on the pkg file, and follow the instructions.
The configuration of the Mac app can be resumed in 4 parts:
The Display name
The credentials, i.e. Login and Password
The Port on which the server will listen
The Location of the Folder
To be able to use correctly the Mac version, it is recommended to have the Piktures Media Server always running. To do so, it is advised to add it to the list of apps running in start-up time.
