# Mac version

## **Download**

The Mac version of the Piktures Media Server exists in two versions:&#x20;

* The M1 version that you can download at <https://download.piktures.app/1/macos/m1/Piktures.pkg>
* The Intel version that you can download at <https://download.piktures.app/1/macos/intel/Piktures.pkg>

## Installation

The Installation is fairly straightforward. You need to double-click on the pkg file, and follow the instructions.&#x20;

## Configuration

The configuration of the Mac app can be resumed in 4 parts:

* The Display name
* The credentials, i.e. Login and Password
* The Port on which the server will listen
* The Location of the Folder&#x20;

## Always start

To be able to use correctly the Mac version, it is recommended to have the Piktures Media Server always running. To do so, it is advised to add it to the list of apps running in start-up time. &#x20;
