# Data usage

We have looked at it and our conclusion is that 2.15 Mb since November means about 25kb per day. We were afraid that there was something dramatic on your device from your comment but it seems a normal behaviour for Piktures. Piktures uses the network to get the maps for locations (on the right side of the app), to get the name of the city from the GPS of the photos, to send anonymous analytics to understand what people use or don't use in the app, to improve our products. A single photo can be between 3Mb and 10Mb :)

Nowadays every app uses a bit of data, including Gallery apps. If you really want to not send any data, you can use an app like Opera Max to block access to data for apps including Piktures. Some features like location won't work anymore but that maybe okay for you
